How to Use Apple Pay at Dutch Bros
- Order your drink at the window or walk-up counter.
- When the broista is ready for payment, open Apple Pay (or Google Pay or Samsung Pay) on your phone or watch.
- Tap your device on the reader. Dutch Bros calls this Tap to Pay.
- Scan your Dutch Bros app first if you want to earn points on the visit.
Dutch Bros describes it as paying “quickly and securely at the window” with your card or mobile device.
Does Dutch Bros Take Cash?

Paying With the Dutch Bros App
The app has a built-in wallet called the Dutch Pass. To use it:
- Open the app, tap “Scan,” then choose “Charge Up” to add money from a card.
- You can also load balances from Dutch Bros gift cards onto your Dutch Pass.
- Show the pass to your broista at the window for touchless payment.
- For Order Ahead, if your gift card balance is not enough, the app prompts you to add another card.
